🎉 Fox3 Turns 5
Ready to Fly.
Five years ago, Fox3 Managed Solutions did not launch with a pitch deck, a VC meeting, or a polished boardroom presentation.
Fox3 was born from boredom, frustration, and one too many unstable servers.
Back in early 2021, the goal was simple: do flight sim hosting better.
Better connections. More stable servers. Less friction. Less babysitting. More flying.
That mindset is still at the core of Fox3 today and it is the reason we are proud, and honestly a little amazed, to be celebrating five years of supporting the DCS World and IL-2 Sturmovik communities.
🛫 Not Born in a Boardroom. Born From Boredom.
Fox3 did not start as a business plan. It started as a personal challenge.
I was tired of unreliable connections, servers crashing mid-mission, and hosting providers that did not truly understand flight simulators. Too many services treated DCS and IL-2 like just another game server.
I knew, I could do it better - Luck
Fox3 was built by someone who flies, hosts, breaks things, and then fixes them. From day one, the philosophy has been clear and unchanged.
Ease of use. Stability. Ready To Fly.
No unnecessary complexity. No gimmicks. Just servers that work when it matters.
📊 Five Years of Fox3 by the Numbers
Here is a snapshot of what the Fox3 community has built together over the last five years.
Fox3 started officially September 2021
Nearly 2,000 customers served
2,144 servers deployed across DCS, IL-2, and unmanaged DCS environments
Servers deployed in: United States, Germany, France, Poland, Singapore and Australia
Customers flying from every corner of the planet
Approximately 2,000 pilots connected in the Fox3 Discord
More than 14,000 help tickets fielded and resolved
Over 8,000 gigabytes of RAM in use
Nearly 250 terabytes of disk space in use
An average of 34 terabytes of data moved every month
That adds up to 2.04 petabytes of data delivered so far
That represents countless missions flown, countless logs reviewed, and more patch days than we care to count.
🧠 What Five Years of Flight Sim Hosting Taught Us
Five years in this space teaches you quickly what matters and what does not.
Stability always beats raw specs.
A powerful server means nothing if it is not reliable.
Patch days are unavoidable and preparation matters more than speed.
Most squadrons want less server administration and more time in the cockpit.
Geography, routing, and datacenter quality matter just as much as CPU speed.
Community is the foundation of everything we do.
Every lesson learned has shaped how Fox3 operates today.
🎁 A Thank You to the DCS and Eagle Dynamics
To say thank you to the communities that made these five years possible, we are running a special anniversary offer.
LiveryLink Mod Support is $2/mo - Available now through March 1st, 2026
This is our way of giving something back to the pilots, squadrons, mission builders, and community leaders who continue to trust Fox3 with their environments.
This is a thank you. It does cost us in space and bandwidth.
🦊 To Our Pilots, Squadrons, and Community
Whether you have been with Fox3 since the early days or you just joined us recently, we appreciate you.
Thank you for trusting us with your servers. Thank you for the honest feedback, even when it was hard to hear. Thank you for your patience during updates. Thank you for building something special around this hobby we all care about.
Five years in flight sim hosting is not easy. Fox3 is still here because you are still here.
Here is to the next five years of stable servers, smooth launches, and being Ready To Fly.
