How it all works with your new Fox3 DCS Server
Our Mission
At Fox3 Managed Solutions, our mission is to enhance the DCS community by providing top-tier servers that are truly Ready to Fly. We focus on making things as simple as possible within the limits of DCS itself, combining high performance, reliability, and automation so you can focus on flying — not server administration.
1. Uploading Missions
Fox3 makes uploading missions simple through a secure cloud drive. Detailed instructions are provided during onboarding.
You’ll access your cloud drive using your Fox3 user ID and password. This same drive is also used for Mods, Logs, and Tacview ACMI files, depending on your subscription tier.
Note: Access to Mods, Logs, and Tacview ACMI files is not available for Co-Op and Value Tier subscriptions.
2. Rebooting Your DCS Server
If your DCS server becomes unresponsive or disappears from the server list, it usually just needs a reboot — this resolves roughly 90% of connection issues.
To reboot your server, simply upload a blank file named:
into your Fox3 cloud drive. Once the file is detected and deleted, the reboot process has begun. You’ll also receive an email confirmation once the reboot is triggered.
Our automated system performs a full reboot, typically taking 2–4 minutes, depending on mission load time. Once restarted, your mission will automatically resume.
Tip: Only one reboot.me file is needed — adding multiple files will not speed up the process.
3. Script Access
Script access is available upon request and is intended for advanced users only, as improper scripting can negatively impact server stability and performance.
Because of this, script access is closely monitored and is available exclusively to Squadron Tier subscribers and above.
4. DCS Updates
Fox3 servers automatically update minutes after a new DCS release becomes available.
Major content updates (such as new maps) may occasionally require manual intervention due to storage constraints. During updates, servers may briefly appear offline while the update is applied.
5. Multiple Admins
Server owners may approve additional administrators. All new admins must complete an onboarding ticket through our Discord ticket system.
Approved admins will use the same Fox3 user login, which is expected behavior within Fox3’s managed server model.
6. Multiple Servers
You can rent as many servers as you need. Each server operates independently.
Exception: Co-Op and Value Tier servers operate within shared environments.
7. RDP Access
Fox3 does not permit any form of Remote Desktop (RDP) access on managed servers. This policy ensures security, stability, and consistent performance across all environments.
Fox3 does offer unmanaged servers for customers who specifically require RDP access.
8. Starting & Stopping Your Server
Servers are managed using the DCS Web GUI, which allows you to:
Start and stop missions
Adjust server settings
Manage mission rotation
Access is provided through your unique Fox3 user login.
9. Hardware Specifications
Fox3 infrastructure is purpose-built and optimized for DCS performance:
NVMe storage
4 dedicated CPU cores
4 Gbit bandwidth minimum
Plenty of RAM for large-scale missions and events
You’re getting some of the best DCS server performance available — period.
10. Custom Liveries
Each server includes 5 GB of storage for missions, mods, and other assets.
Because DCS dedicated servers do not render graphics, storing skins or liveries on the server is generally unnecessary and consumes valuable space. Client-side liveries should be distributed to players separately whenever possible.
11. Mission Persistence
Fox3 supports multiple mission persistence methods. Some persistence systems may require mission script adjustments for compatibility.
We offer limited scripting support and can provide guidance on setting up persistent missions. Mission persistence is supported on all Fox3 DCS servers.
12. Steam Version Compatibility
Fox3 fully supports the Steam version of DCS World.
13. Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription through our website or by opening a Discord support ticket.
Note: Partial-month refunds are not provided. Please do not simply stop payment, this creates unnecessary administrative work. If you plan to cancel, notify us so we can assist properly.
14. Failed Payments
Failed payments result in immediate server deactivation, followed by a 48-hour countdown to deletion.
Renew promptly to avoid permanent data loss.
15. Pricing
Pricing may change due to global server costs. However, your subscription rate remains locked for as long as your subscription stays active.
16. Tech Support
Support is provided through our Discord ticket system:
Live Support Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM EST
Days: Monday through Saturday
Create Help Tickets 24x7
Our staff does not accept direct messages. All support requests must go through tickets for proper tracking and resolution.
17. Server Naming
All active Fox3 servers must include the following in their server name:
| Fox3ms.com Server-Number
This is required for monitoring and support purposes.(Example: “Operation Iron Shield | Fox3ms.com Server-1234”)
18. DCS Module Purchases
Do not purchase DCS modules using your Fox3 user ID.
All personal module purchases must be made through your own Eagle Dynamics account.
19. Password Changes
Changing your Fox3 DCS account password without authorization is prohibited.
If you need a password reset, open a Discord support ticket so we can assist. Unauthorized password changes may lock both you and our automation systems out of the account.
20. Discord Alerts for Your Server
Yes, Fox3 offers live Discord server alerts.
You can receive notifications when:
Players join or leave your server
Missions change
DCS stops responding or crashes
RAM usage exceeds 96%
CPU usage exceeds 80%

21. Nightly Reboots (All Managed Servers)
All Fox3 managed servers undergo a nightly reboot during very early morning hours.
These reboots significantly reduce crashes caused by Windows memory leaks and improve long-term stability. Reboots are carefully choreographed to avoid peak usage times and to prevent login bottlenecks at the DCS authentication servers.
Nightly reboots are mandatory and are a key part of keeping Fox3 servers running smoothly.
